Protected Every Step Of The Way

Every custom display and spring is handled with the same care that goes into its design. From assembly through final packaging, we ensure your product is protected and prepared for shipment with precision and attention to detail.

Once inspected, your order is managed by our trained warehouse team in Elgin, Illinois. Using certified equipment, they safely pack and move each item to minimize risk and maintain quality through transit.

This careful process supports fast, reliable delivery and gives you confidence that your display will arrive in top condition, ready to perform.

Practical Guidance to Our Customers

Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) Handling

Many TongLi Technology products include a Flexible Printed Circuit (“Flex”). These are high-precision electronic circuits molded into flexible assemblies; proper handling is critical for optimum performance.

  • Mechanical Integrity: Never crease or induce extreme folds into an FPC; this will damage internal circuitry.
  • Surface Protection: Avoid contact with pointed tools (e.g., pen points) to prevent point-source damage.
  • Golden Fingers: Keep the contact area clean. Fingerprint oils or scratches can lead to intermittent contact or open circuits.
  • Connector Mating: Ensure the FPC is locked into the mating connector fully and squarely to ensure all “fingers” make stable contact.
  • Unlocked Removal: Never forcefully remove an FPC without first unlocking the connector mechanism.
  • Operator Training: Ensure assembly staff are trained to insert/remove FPCs parallel to the connector pins to prevent “buckling” or small tears at corners.
  • ※ Claims for FPC-related damage due to improper handling are not covered by the warranty.

Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Damage

As precision electronic devices, TongLi products require strict ESD protocols to protect sensitive ICs and circuitry from electrostatic discharge.

  • Ensure all users, test equipment, and tools (e.g., soldering irons) are grounded to a common ground point.
  • Always use ESD-safe bags, trays, and covers during transport and storage.
  • Personnel must utilize anti-static straps, mats, and protective clothing to dissipate charge accumulation.
  • ※ TongLi Technology cannot be held responsible for device failure resulting from unsafe ESD conditions. Claims for ESD-damaged devices are excluded from warranty coverage.

Shipping & Transit Inspection

If damage is suspected during transit, perform a detailed incoming inspection immediately upon receipt.

  • Evidence Collection: All damage claims require clear photographic evidence for freight forwarder processing.
  • Insurance Claims: If the shipment was insured, a claim must be filed directly with your freight forwarder.
  • Reporting Window: Discrepancies (missing items or mis-shipments) must be reported within 60 days of receipt.
  • ※ Claims for “Broken Glass” or external transit damage are not covered by the standard manufacturing warranty.

Cosmetic Standards & Quality

TongLi Technology adheres to exacting cosmetic standards (comparable to NASA PCB standards) to ensure high-quality industrial performance.

Dot/Spot Defect Allowances:
• Diagonal ≤ 4.3”: Max size 0.4mm (Qty ≤ 2)
• Diagonal > 4.3”: Max size 0.5mm (Qty ≤ 3)
Line & Scratch Allowances:
• Width < 0.03mm: Ignored
• Width < 0.05mm: Max length 5mm (Qty ≤ 2)

※ Liquid damage (e.g., uneven backlighting) and “Burn-in” due to static image display are excluded from warranty. Use screen-saver techniques to prevent image retention.

Customer Modifications

Any modification made by the customer to the original product voids the manufacturing warranty.

  • Soldering: Customer header soldering or component removal/addition expressly voids the warranty. Consider our pre-assembly services to preserve warranty status.
  • Repair Claims: Once customer-solder is applied, only “Paid Repair” claims will be considered, which may involve additional costs and factory lead times.
